About the service
Pairing Summerville, SC Homeowners With Local Tree Businesses
Named for the creek, run by its rules.
The Sawmill Branch threads the whole town — under Main Street, past the ballfields, along the bike path half of Summerville walks after supper. It seemed like the right name for a service that means to stay part of the furniture here.
What we are
Sawmill Branch Tree Care does no tree work itself. It pairs each request with a single independent Summerville-area tree business, which prices the job and carries it out.
The requests that come through here cover four kinds of work in residential Summerville: removing trees, pruning the keepers, storm cleanup, and grinding what’s left, from Ladson through Nexton to Knightsville. Those four, done properly, are the whole catalog. No landscape installs and no fences.
What we believe about tree work here
Summerville is particular about its trees, and has been since its first town council, whose tree ordinance still ranks among the oldest anywhere in America. We think that’s a feature. A town that requires a permit before a big pine comes down is a town whose streets will still be worth shading in fifty years. So the standard asked of the company doing the work is the one the ordinance implies: remove what’s truly done, keep what can be kept, make the cuts a tree can close, and leave the yard raked, with a quote that is written, itemized, and holds unless the job itself changes.
Getting in touch
Call (843) 604-3754 or send the request form. If the call goes to voicemail, leave your address and what the tree is doing. Either way, the details go to the one independent tree company this service works with, and that company contacts you to set up a visit.
Start with one request.
One visit and one written number, from the independent company that takes your request.
